Ola Electric is going to launch a new electric vehicle on 15th August on the occasion of 75th Independence Day of India.

A year ago on this day Ola Electric launched the first electric scooter in India. Now the company can take the curtain from its first electric car.

Ola has released the teaser of the upcoming electric car, which is expected to be launched next year.

Bhavish Aggarwal wrote on Twitter, "Excited to announce a new product this 15th August. During this time we will also share our Big Future plan.

Ola Electric has also been included in the central government's PLI scheme, which will allow the EV maker to work on lithium-ion cells to make batteries for electric vehicles in India.

Ola has recently revealed its first Lithium-Ion cell. The company may also announce a new and bigger plant, which will be used to develop battery cell technology and electric cars.

Earlier in June, Ola Electric showed a glimpse of its upcoming electric four-wheeler during the customer day. Agarwal had said that more details about the car would be revealed on August 15.

He had said that he is also committed to making the best products for the customers in the electric vehicle segment. The shared teaser hinted at the look of the electric car

In which its red color, sleek LED DRLs, front and rear design and side profile were shown in small glimpse. The electric four-wheeler has the 'Ola' logo on both the front and rear.

Ola is currently looking for around 1,000 acres of land for its EV four wheeler factory. When completed, it will be approximately twice the size of its FutureFactory.
