Hero MotoCorp is launching an all-new Karizma with a new powertrain and platform.
The architecture will be used to expand Hero's reach in the premium space.
The upcoming Karizma will be powered by a 210 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled fuel-injected engine.
The engine will produce around 25 bhp maximum power and 30 Nm of peak torque and linked with a six-speed transmission.
The design of the new motorcycle will be influenced by the old model.
The new Karizma is expected to be priced competitively against existing 250 cc motorcycles in India.
Hero MotoCorp is working on a dual-purpose adventure touring machine and a faired motorcycle, expected to launch in 2024.
The Karizma nameplate was introduced in 2003 and underwent several changes over the years.
The original Karizma was discontinued in 2017 amidst the arrival of more modern rivals.
The new Karizma is expected to be a formidable competitor against existing models in the 250 cc segment in India.
