New generation Maruti Suzuki Alto will be launched in India soon, will get a bigger 1-liter engine and advanced features

Maruti Suzuki has been testing the new generation model of its entry-level hatchback Alto for some time now. Now pictures of the car have surfaced revealing the design and two exterior color options.

Alto was seen during the shoot of an advertisement, which states that Maruti may start teasing its new entry-level hatchback soon. According to the reports, the new model may be launched next month.

In terms of design, the Alto will follow Maruti's new design, which we saw on the new Celerio as well. As per the spy pictures, the design is more rounded than the current Alto.

The cabin is also expected to be all-new, with the top model expected to get some modern features, including Maruti's 7.0-inch SmartPlay studio infotainment system.

The new Alto is expected to be based on Maruti's new Heartect platform and it is being said that it will be bigger than the old model. Its K10 model may be relaunched, which was discontinued in 2020.

The new Alto will get a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard along with an AMT gearbox option. The new Alto is set to take on the Renault Kwid in the entry-level hatchback segment.
