Mercedes AMG EQS 53 performance EV was launched in India with starting price of 2.45 crore.

This Mercedes-Benz AMG EQS 53 is the company's first electric car under its performance lineup. The AMG EQS 53 Performance EV was introduced in the global markets last year.

This is now Mercedes' second all-electric car in India after the EQC, while the EQS 580 will be introduced later this year via the CKD route.

The AMG EQS 53 has a silhouette, which is very similar to the EQS 580, which is coming later this year. But a closer look will suffice to show that it is indeed an AMG.

The front of the car gets AMG-specific black panels vertical position on the grille, front splitter in high gloss black with gloss trim, 1.3 million pixel lights with digital LED head lights.

Apart from this, the electric car gets 21-inch alloy wheels, flush doors, flush tail gate with LED lamps in 3D helix design and star badge on the tailgate.

The biggest highlight of the car's cabin is the 56-inch MBUX hyperscreen with Gorilla Glass, which offers 3D maps, in-car gaming functionality, feeds from cameras and many more.

The screens are all controlled by AI or Artificial Intelligence. The car also gets a 710 watts Burmester 3D surround system with 15 speakers.

The car gets features like comfortable seats with AMG-specific steering wheel, MBUX rear seat tablet and Energizing Air Control Plus with HEPA filter.

Performance of the Mercedes AMG EQS 53 range, the car is powered by a 107.8kWh lithium-ion battery, which supports fast charging up to 200 kWh. The AMG EQS 53 has a WLTP range of up to 580 km.

In terms of performance, the car lives up to the legacy of the AMG EQS 53 brand. This car can generate 762 hp power, 1,020 Nm maximum torque.

The top speed of Mercedes AMG EQS 53 is 250 kmph. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.4 seconds.

The AMG EQS 53 is currently the most expensive one on the Indian roads as compared to any other EV. It will rival the Porsche Taycan Turbo S and Audi RS e-tron.
