Renowned entrepreneur Cyrus Mistry passed away in a car accident and there was a stir in the industry.
Cyrus Mistry and his friend Jehangir Pandole were killed in an accident on the National Highway in Palghar district of Maharashtra on Sunday afternoon.
Two other people in the car were seriously injured in the accident. All of them were traveling in Mercedes SUV model GLC 220.
The accident took place on the Surya river bridge in the Palghar Charoti area on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway between 3:30 pm.
Cyrus Mistry, who was sitting in the back of the car at the time of the accident, was not wearing a seat belt. Cyrus Mistry was cremated on Tuesday.
In a statement issued by the Mercedes company, it has been mentioned that they are providing all necessary assistance in the investigation related to the accident.
"As a responsible brand we respect the privacy of our customers, our team is doing our best to cooperate with the authorities," the company said in a statement.
After the accidental death of Cyrus Mistry, the central government has taken a decision. It has been made mandatory for the passengers sitting on the back seat in the car to wear seat belts.
