Hyundai has launched the all-new 2023 Verna sedan in India, with high hopes for its success.
The Verna offers two engine options, including a turbocharged variant that produces 157.8bhp and 253Nm of torque.
The Honda City, Verna's biggest rival, offers a naturally aspirated petrol engine and a strong hybrid powertrain.
The Verna comes with several first-in-segment features, including Level-2 ADAS and heated and ventilated front seats.
The Honda City also offers level-2 ADAS, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and many other features.
The Verna's base variant starts at Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom, India), while the turbocharged variant starts at Rs 14.83 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The Honda City's base variant starts at Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India), while the e:HEV (Strong Hybrid) variant starts at Rs 18.89 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The Verna's turbocharged powertrain makes it an attractive option for sedan lovers in India.
The Honda City's strong hybrid powertrain makes it the only hybrid sedan in its segment.
Ultimately, the choice between the two will depend on personal preferences and priorities.
