The all-new Tata Nexon EV Max is a compact SUV that has been launched in India. Here are all the details about the Tata Nexon EV Max including its features, battery, top speed, motor, and price.

What is the difference?

Comparing the Max with the regular Nexon EV, you will get new alloy wheels and new color options in this Max version. But there has been a big change in its interiors, Tata is now offering a premium black and beech color theme in Max’s interior and it also gets blue accents. The center console of the Nexon Max has also been redesigned, where you now get an illuminated drive mode selector, electric parking brake, and auto hold button.

The Tata Nexon EV Max gets a sporty and aggressive design with sharp features. The front fascia gets a sleek grille with blue highlights. The headlamps are LEDs with DRLs (daytime running lights). The 16-inch alloy wheels add to the sporty character of the SUV. The rear section gets wraparound LED taillamps.


The interior of the Tata Nexon EV is just as impressive as the exterior. The cabin is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for passengers and cargo. The seats are upholstered in premium materials, and the dashboard is well-organized and user-friendly. New Features

Tata has also introduced some new features in this Max version. Features like corporate leather upholstery, ventilated seat, auto-dimming IRVM, and wireless charging are provided on the Nexon EV Max. Apart from this, all the features like a 7-inch touchscreen, semi-digital driver display, cruise control, and sunroof have been carried over from the regular Nexon EV.

Motor and Battery pack

What makes the Nexon EV Max the Max is its new battery pack. The regular Nexon EV is powered by a 30.2 kWh battery and the Max version gets a 40.5 kWh battery. Along with this, Tata Motors has also updated the motor of Nexon EV Max, which is now more powerful than before.

The EV Max is an all-electric version of the Tata Nexon SUV, and it is powered by a 72V, 3-phase AC induction motor that produces 143 PS and 250 Nm of torque. The motor is mated to a single-speed gearbox. The EV Max also gets regenerative braking and tree driving modes – Eco, City, and Sport. The battery pack is integrated into the vehicle’s floor pan and has a warranty of 8 years or 1,60,000 km, whichever is earlier.

Top Speed

Tata Motors claims that the Nexon EV Max 100 can accelerate within 9 seconds and the top speed is also 20 km more than before, which has now been clocked at 140 km. Along with this, the function of four-level brake regeneration is available in the Nexon EV Max, and Sport and Eco drive modes have also been given.


There are also updates in terms of safety, ESP, hill hold control, hill descent control, and rear disc brakes have been given. The Tata Nexon EV is loaded with safety features that make it a great choice for a family car. It comes with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, seatbelt reminder, ISOFIX child seat anchors, speed-sensing door locks, rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera. These safety features make the Tata Nexon EV a great choice for a family car.


Tata Nexon EV Max has a certified range of 437 km. Will it be able to cover 300 km in one charge in real-world conditions? It will be known only when it is launched.

Charging time

A 3.3 kW charger is provided with the Nexon EV Max and the option of a 7.2 kW fast charger is also provided by Tata and for this 50 thousand extra will have to be paid. Apart from this, Nexon EV Mac also supports 50 kW DC fast charging, where 0 to 80% charge is done within 1 hour.

Seating Position

Now let’s talk about the prices, Nexon EV Max is available in two variants. The fast charger option is available with both the variants of XZ+ and XZ+ Lux. Tata Nexon EV Max price starts at Rs 17.74 Lakh and goes up to Rs 19.24 Lakh (ex-showroom). You will have to pay only around 1.5 lakhs more than the regular Nexon EV.
