This electric avatar of Tata Nano has been prepared by Pune-based electric vehicle brand Electra EV and you will be surprised to know that the founder of Electra EV is Ratan Tata. The company manufactures affordable EV-power trains for OEMs and Tier One suppliers. The company is also working with a global electric mobility provider to manufacture EV-power trains for the Asian market.

Electra EV has expressed its happiness after delivering the electric Nano to Ratan Tata. The company has released a picture through its LinkedIn profile, in which Ratan Tata is seen standing with his Nano Electric. The company wrote in its post, it is a matter of pride for Electra EV that our team has delivered a custom-built Nano Electric to our founder. We will be waiting for Ratan Tata’s feedback. In this picture released by the company, Ratan Tata along with his executive assistant Shantanu Naidu is also seen.
It is reported that Ratan Tata has liked this new look of the Nano and he has also taken a ride in the car. Developed by the Electra EV, the Tata Nano Electric is a four-seater car powered by a super polymer lithium-ion battery. This car can cover a distance of about 160 km after a full charge and it takes about 10 seconds to accelerate from zero to 60 mph.
Tata Motors says that the Nano Electric is an environment-friendly car that the modern consumer will love. Significantly, the Tata Nano was Ratan Tata’s dream project, which was launched in the Indian market in the year 2008. It was popularly known as Lakhtakia car but due to the delayed launch in the market, the company had to face heavy losses.
This car did not make a mark in the market as expected. This had a direct impact on the sales of the car. The company was very disappointed with the continuous declining sales and in the year 2018, the production of Tata Nano was completely stopped.
