Mahindra XUV 700 First Look, Launch Date & Price
First of all a very Happy Independence Day to all of you. Now the Mahindra XUV 700 has been revealed in full and it promises to shake up the SUV segment. Sadly we can’t give our opinions now. This article is primarily to tell you all the juicy XUV 700 details that Mahindra has said so far.
Mahindra XUV 700 Design
For now. All that we can tell you is that the XUV 700 sport c shaped LED headlights comes with pop-out door handles has LED tail lamps and top specs versions also support 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. And yes the XUV 700 also views the new logo for the Mahindra SUV range. The exact dimensions aren’t out as yet, but the XUV 700 will be substantial.
Mahindra XUV 700 Interior and Features
Inside the list of talking points is long, but for now, we have no option but to keep it short. XUV 700 will be offered in five and seven-seat configurations and the cabin sports a dual-tone theme, will get to trims in a bit but the XUV 700 featured here is the rain-stopping model whose dashboard has two, 10.25-inch screens. One for the instruments with the other being the touchscreen for the infotainment system. Mahindra has an adrenal X platform that brings connected tech and Alexa compatibility.
And there’s wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as well. views on climate control and a power-adjustable driver’s seat that automatically slides back for easy entry are also part of the package. Mahindra says the XUV 700 also both have the largest panoramic sunroof in the segment. Option packs will be on offer that will get added goodies like a Sony 3d sound system, 360 degrees surround-view camera, wireless charging, and more.
Mahindra XUV 700 Safety
The tech extends to the area of safety as well. The safety suite on fully loaded versions includes electronic stability control, hill-hold control, and seven airbags. Where the XUV 700 goes one up on its rivals is with its a das advanced driver assistance systems. The radar and camera-based system include adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and lane keep assist, auto booster headlights that automatically deploy a high beam above 80 kmph. A driver drowsiness detection system and safety alerts that can be recorded in the voice of a loved one are also included. Mahindra hasn’t revealed a global encapsulating as yet
Mahindra XUV 700 Engine and Gearbox
Mahindra is looking to leave You spoilt for choice in terms of powertrains. The XUV 700 will be available with petrol and diesel engines with the option of six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmissions on both. The 2-liter direct injection and stallion turbo petrol engine promise to appeal to petrol heads with strong 200 horsepower and 380-newton meters torque and there’s word offers sub 10 seconds 0 to 100 kmph acceleration time as well. However, fuel economy figures are not out. The XUV 700 diesel will likely be the most level-headed choice. During duty on the XUV 700 below will be a Mahindra 2.2 liter mhawk diesel engine that will be offered in two states of tune.
Low spec versions will get the engine in 155 hp and 360 Newton meter form with a six-speed manual gearbox. High spec versions of the XUV 700 will feature the engine in 185 Hp with slightly different torque ratings for the six-speed manual and six-speed automatic versions. The diesel SUV will also get drive modes namely zip, zap, and zoom. And for buyers to whom an SUV is incomplete without some form of offroad hardware, there will be an option of all-wheel drive to as standard the SUV will be front wheel drive.
Mahindra XUV 700 Variants
Mahindra hasn’t given exact engine gearbox and trim combinations as yet but has revealed that the XUV 700 will be available in two trim lines. The base MX versions will feature 17-inch steel wheels, an eight-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and steering mounted audio controls. Mahindra XUV 700 Price and Launch details
The XUV 700 will likely be launched in early October but Mahindra has already revealed prices for some variants and the news is good. The base petrol MX manual starts at 11.99 lakh rupees (ex-showroom), while the MX diesel with the 155 hp engine starts at 12.49 lakh rupees from the Adreno X line Mahindra has announced the petrol manual AX3 price of 13.99 lakh rupees and the petrol manual AX5 price of 14.99 lakh rupees.
You know these prices are for the five-seat variants only. full range pricing will only come out at launch. In terms of price the XUV 700 not only undercuts its key feisty rivals like the MG Hector and Tata Harrier but is more affordable than SUVs that have a segment or two below. Incredibly the base XUV 700 petrol manual is only 15,000 rupees pricier than the top-spec petrol manual SUV 300 which is a sub-four meter SUV. bang for your buck is what the XUV 700 promises does it deliver?
